BELGRADE, 17 Oct – PRIME. The Serbian government has decided to ban the export of natural gas until October 31, the press service of the Cabinet reported.
Media: Serbia yielded to EU pressure on anti-Russian sanctions
“The government made a decision at today’s meeting to temporarily ban the export and export of natural gas from the country until October 31 in order to ensure a reliable supply of the domestic market and prevent damage to the economy and citizens,” the government said in a statement.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, in the light of reports of threats to the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, on October 10 called on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and special services to strengthen the security of the country’s gas transportation system, which receives blue fuel from the Russian gas pipeline. Then he recalled that only Belgrade consumes three million cubic meters of gas per day, and six million cubic meters from the Russian Federation per day through the gas pipeline.
