Sony will raise the price of PlayStation 5 in Europe and Japan

MOSCOW, 25 Aug – PRIME. Sony Group Corp today announced that it is raising the price of its PlayStation 5 game console in the markets of Europe, Japan and the UK due to economic pressure, including due to rising interest rates.
Sony increased net profit in the first quarter of fiscal year 2022-2023
In Europe, the price of the hard drive console will increase from €499.99 to €549.99. A similar increase will occur in Japan.
In the US, according to the Japanese entertainment conglomerate, there will be no price increase.
