Spain PM ‘only zombies missing’ amid economic crisis

MOSCOW, 14 Sep — PRIME. The Spanish government has had to face unprecedented challenges, the only thing missing is a “zombie invasion,” Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said in an interview with RTVE.

Annual consumer price inflation in Spain declines in August

“This government has had to face absolutely unprecedented situations like a pandemic, the worst pandemic in the last 100 years, only the zombie invasion was missing,” he said.

In addition, it is noted that Spain is faced with an acute problem of widespread price increases. According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), consumer inflation in the country accelerated to 10.7% in July, having a significant impact on the economic situation of citizens. It is emphasized that the main factor in the rise in prices in Spain was electricity, which has risen in price by 49.4% over the past 12 months.
