Stablecoins have registered a significant increase in transaction volumes since the beginning of 2020.
According to a study by The Block, in the first quarter of 2020, the volume of transactions exceeded $ 90 billion for the first time.
Last year the total volume of transactions was $ 250 billion last year. As a benchmark, PayPal’s volume was $ 712 billion.
USDT-ETH transactions accounted for 62% of the activity with stable cryptocurrencies in the first quarter of 2020. DAI and USDC registered the highest growth, with 344% and 54%, respectively.
