SteelSeries Expands Wireless Mouse Lineup with Two New Aerox Models

SteelSeries has expanded its Aerox Wireless mouse line with IP54 waterproof certifications and much lighter weight, with two new options available starting today: the Aerox 5 Wireless y Aerox 9 Wireless. El Aerox 9 Wireless, shown below, is the SteelSeries version of a mouse built for MMO and MOBA games which has an infinity of macros to program. It comes with 12 buttons on its left side, and SteelSeries claims that, at 89 grams, this is the lightest mouse on the market.

This mouse goes up against Razer’s Naga Pro, another button-heavy wireless option. The Aerox 9 has IP54 waterproofing and an impressive internal battery that guarantees up to 180 hours of use.

El Aerox 5 Wireless it has more conventional features, including 9 programmable buttons, 5 of which are located on its side, and Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity. According to the manufacturer, the product brings 1-to-1 accuracy, maximum sensitivity of 18 thousand CPI, 400 IPS, 49G acceleration, and detachable USB-C cable.

Other features of the Aerox 5 Wireless include Gold Micro switches (also IP54 certified), internal battery that also guarantees up to 180 hours of use, and a weight of just 74 grams. Steel Series says that the mouse also has sensors that detect tilt while in use.

Mouse actions are controlled by SteelSeries Engine software, and the PrismSync Lightning system ensures customization of three lighting zones with up to 16.9 million colors. The Aerox 5 Wireless is now on sale on the company’s official website for $139.99, and the model Aerox 9 Wireless is also available for $149.99.
