Telegram has become the most downloaded application in Russia

App Annie has been analyzing mobile market data since 2010.According to a recent report, the popular Telegram messenger became the most downloaded mobile application in the Russian Federation in the second quarter of 2021. Compared to the first quarter, the service was able to move up one position, displacing TikTok from the first place.

The second place in terms of the number of downloads was taken by the app for publishing short videos, TikTok. The third place went to the Zenly service, which gained popularity among domestic users due to the ability to track the location of their friends. Zenly also overtook Instagram and WhatsApp, taking 51st position in the ranking. According to the report, the service is one of the most promising and fastest growing in Russia.

The next places are occupied by applications that provide scooters for rent – Whoosh and Urent. App Annie has also published statistics on the most profitable services. The top 4 includes the Boom music service, VKontakte, Yandex.Music and the IVI online cinema. In fifth place was the official YouTube app.
