Test of the Baseus Dynamic Eye Inflator Pump handheld compressor

There are gadgets that we buy, although we do not need them at all, and vice versa – those that will be very useful to us in everyday life, but we only find out about it when we get our hands on it. In my case, this was the case with the handy Baseus Dynamic Dynamic Eye Inflator Pump compressor.

A mobile compressor, that is, the right pressure at your fingertips

This compressor accentuates its high mobility through a box that fits in your hand. It does not hide much, because in addition to our main character, a meter long USB-A to microUSB cable for charging, a user manual, a set of stickers and a warranty card. Everything that is most important comes down to the oval shape itself, which may not be the most ergonomic, but we can easily hold it in one hand. Both during transport and pumping.

It looks like a simplified undercarriage of a tank

It is enclosed in a curved, because with rounded corners, a body weighing 573 grams, made of hard, mat plastic, measuring 130 x 80 x 46 mm. The solid weight here is due to the presence of both (apparently) durable accessories (heat-resistant piston rod and metal cylinder) and a 4000 mAh battery (a set of two, 2000 mAh each), which allows you to fully pump it up after 3.5 hours of charging, among others. eight bicycle tires and about one and a half car tires. On the left side of the Baseus Dynamic Dynamic Eye Inflator Pump there is a place to store all the compressor accessories.

This includes both a 26.5-cm hose and a total of three nozzles, enabling the inflation of car and bicycle tires (both those with schrader and dunlop valves), motorcycle or balls. This, moreover, is indicated by a simple display on the front, accompanied by five buttons. Through them, we activate the compressor, select the mode, adjust the pressure (in bars or PSI) or activate the flashlight. Here it is worth mentioning that Baseus has tried to include predefined settings that always greet us when you turn on the device. It is a pity that the company did not provide for the possibility of saving our changes to pre-set levels or even units.

On the right edge, our eyes will see only small holes (air inlets) and the inscription “Designed By Baseus”, and on the front four LEDs informing about the charge level, a microUSB port for this purpose, a fairly bright flashlight and a hole for screwing in the hose. So much for the physicality of this equipment. So let’s move on to what’s most important.

Test of the Baseus handheld compressor in practice

Using the Baseus Dynamic Eye Inflator Pump is as easy as you think. We screw the hose into the housing, choose the appropriate tip, connect it to the target valve and turn on the screen. Then we will immediately get information about the current pressure in the tire, which for this device cannot exceed 120 psi, i.e. ~ 8.27 bar.

As part of the test, I was able to inflate the tire of a conventional mountain bike from 0 to 2.5 bar, which took about three minutes. The principle is simple – the closer to the upper pressure limit, the longer the compressor has to run. I also checked the equipment in conjunction with the car tires (155 / 70R13) by first deflating one of them and then pumping to 2.2 bar again. It took much longer, about 15 minutes. The routine pressure control with a boost from ~ 2.2 to 2.4 bar also took from two to three minutes, which consumed about ¼ of the built-in battery charge, and additionally warmed it up to an alarming level. The manufacturer, however, points out that this type of compressor should not be used for a long time.

Baseus Dynamic Eye Inflator Pump handheld compressor test – summary

For this handy compressor you will pay PLN 229.9 in the official Baseus Polska store, which seems to be an exaggerated amount, as for something that can save you from regular driving to a gas station in order to fill in the lack of pressure in car tires, although you will have to spend more on it. time. However, this gadget will also work well for cyclists who carefully monitor the pressure level in their tires. They can even replace a simple pump with an electronic one, with a built-in pressure sensor, so that they can quickly deal with a possible puncture on the road.

So it is not a gadget for everyone, but anyone who sees it as a potential to improve their everyday life should be interested in it. As it worked correctly in our tests, even despite the long pumping procedure, we recommend it with a pure heart, and even the relatively low durability on one charge is not an obstacle to, among others, routine improvement of the pressure in your car tires:
