Test – Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium 750
| Specs | Price

Introduction

Hi all!

Back at Seasonic today, which we no longer present because they almost serve as a benchmark in the field of PC power supplies. After the Prime Titanium 750 that I tested here and which represents what is more high-end these days, I am coming back to present its direct replacement, the Seasonic Prime. Ultra Titanium 750! On the program, a fully modular 750 Watt power supply certified 80Plus Titanium, which should once again ensure very high-end performance.
As usual with Seasonic the black point that will directly strike the consumer is the price, indeed it will be necessary to get rid of no less than 190 € to get the Prime Ultra Titanium 750, which clearly hurts where it goes 😉

Unpacking and bundle

The box is largely identical to the Titanium version, with a rather “bling bling” mixture of black and silver. It includes the brand logo, the name of the model as well as its power and a mention of the guarantee of not less than 12 years. The logos of the 80Plus Titanium performance as well as Cybenetics certifications are also featured. Let’s not forget the little one either Marketing European Hardware Awards 2017, which means absolutely nothing.

At the back we find a listing of the strong points of the beast, namely a very tight voltage regulation, a “FDB” bearing fan, a hybrid ventilation, 100% modular, an 80Plus Titanium certification of course and I past.

On the side a table of technical characteristics, the number of connectors as well as the distribution of power, the union minimum!

Inside the box a usual arrangement of the brand, the power supply is well protected in 2 thick foams and we find the bundle on the side, transport should not be a problem.

In addition to the power supply and the power cord, here is what we find in the bundle:

  • 1 x user manual
  • 1 x quick installation guide
  • 2 x stickers
  • 5 x Velcro cable ties
  • Plastic cable ties
  • 4 x screws
  • 1 x Good working order tester

As we can see Seasonic has done everything to provide the most complete bundle possible, while remaining useful, the cable ties will be a plus for cable management freaks. There is even a small quick installation guide, which says among other things that you have to remove the old power supply to install the new one 😀 In addition to this the brand has also added a small connector to test the correct startup of the unit out of configuration, all you have to do is connect it to the 24-pin and switch everything on.
