The authorities spoke about the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant after the shelling
MOSCOW, 3 Sep — PRIME. The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, after the shelling of the Ukrainian troops, is functioning normally, two power units are operating, there are no critical damages, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, told RIA Novosti.
He also said that the radiation background at the Zaporozhye NPP is normal.
Ukrainian troops on Saturday night resumed shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. An “arrival” was recorded between the second and third blocks, the Dnieper power line was interrupted, the station was transferred to power supply for its own needs.
“The nuclear power plant continues to operate in operating mode. Two power units – the fifth and sixth – continue to operate and supply voltage to the network of 540 and 530 megawatts, respectively,” Rogov said.
According to him, there are no critical damages at the nuclear power plant after the night shelling by Ukraine.
