The big graphics card news from CES 2019

It became an unusually hot Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for computer enthusiasts. On the processor front, it was mainly about what is to come later in the year and there AMD stole the show with the Ryzen 3000 series. Daydreaming about more than eight cores for socket AM4 seems to be a reality.

On the graphics card side, Nvidia was responsible for by far the most news with a new graphics card for the upper middle class, a completely new series for laptops and not least the long-awaited support for VESA Adaptive Sync. Shortly afterwards, AMD surprised by announcing a new flagship, based on a graphics circuit that was never intended to be released to consumers.
