The BitBay exchange platform, registered in Estonia, has been inoperative for over 18 hours. The company initially cited problems caused by a third-party service provider. Subsequently, a announced that the problems are more complicated, but that the clients’ funds are secure.
The last update on the Twitter announces that the activity will resume normally at 9 AM.
Founded in Poland in 2014, BitBay claims it is the third largest cryptocurrency exchange in Europe, with over 800,000 users. Interruption of activity occurs only two weeks after the platform recorded a record of transactions. On March 13, BitBay reported a volume of approximately $ 75 million.
