The European Commission announced the replacement of Russian gas with alternative supplies
BRUSSELS, 12 Oct – PRIME. The European Union has managed to replace most of the Russian gas that has left its market with other supplies, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson said at a press conference in Prague, which was broadcast on the website of the European Commission.
The European Commission announced a reduction in gas consumption in the EU
“We were able to replace most of the lost Russian gas with alternative supplies,” she said.
At the same time, at the same press conference, she also said that the EU “turned to reliable suppliers and so far it has managed to replace all the volumes that Russia has stopped through alternative supplies.”
