Rosseti and Azerenergy to expand cooperation

MOSCOW, 12 Oct — PRIME. Rosseti and Azerenergy have agreed to expand cooperation in the development of power grids in Russia and Azerbaijan, the official Telegram channel of the Rosseti group reports.

“Rosseti PJSC and Azerenergy JSC on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week (REW-2022) signed an agreement of intent for long-term cooperation aimed at deepening cooperation in the operation and development of the power grid infrastructure of Russia and Azerbaijan,” the message says.

The agreement is concluded for three years. The parties plan to cooperate in the field of design, construction and reconstruction of interstate power lines, research on possible integration projects, such as the North-South energy corridor and closing the Transcaucasian energy ring, the company said.

In addition, it is planned to exchange experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of power grid facilities, develop human resources and cooperate on the prevention and elimination of emergencies in power grids in the border areas of both countries.
