The European Union increased imports of Russian LNG to 15 billion cubic meters
BRUSSELS, 14 Oct – PRIME. The European Union increased imports of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) in January-September this year to 15 billion cubic meters from 10 billion in the same period last year, Tim McPhee, spokesman for the European Commission, said at a briefing.
“I’m talking about the first nine months of the year. In 2021 there were only almost 53 billion cubic meters, in 2022 almost 88 billion cubic meters. As for Russia, 20% last year is 10 billion cubic meters, and 17% this year is 15 billion cubic meters,” he answered the question about the physical volumes of Russian LNG imports to the EU.
