MOSCOW, 10 Oct – PRIME. The SBOL app, which allows Sberbank customers with iOS devices to use its services, may last a week or two in the App Store, Vladimir Zykov, director of projects at ANO Digital Platforms, shared his opinion with RIA Novosti.
Earlier Monday, the app became available again on the App Store.
“Last time, the SBOL mobile application lasted a week. And I think that this time a similar situation may occur … It will again not last long, on average a week or two, no more,” Zykov said.
He also added that a similar situation could happen “due to the fact that the media starts to cover that this application has appeared.”
In mid-August, the Open IT Solutions company released the SBOL banking aggregator in the App Store, which provides opportunities for online banking, then Sberbank joined the service. The bank noted that they recommend using the new application to customers with Apple devices on which the Sberbank Online application has not yet been installed. At the end of August, the application was removed from the App Store, although the SBOL service itself continued to work.
In the spring of this year, the United States imposed sanctions on Sberbank, as a result of which its mobile application was removed from the App Store and Google Play. At the same time, applications previously installed on mobile devices continue to work to this day.
