The expert told when sales of the iPhone 14 will start in Russia

Sales of the iPhone 14 in Russia through parallel imports will begin in early October, but these models will appear on the gray market a day after the start of official sales in Europe, but in any case, all these smartphones will cost more, a leading analyst at Mobile told RIA Novosti Research Group Eldar Murtazin.

“If we talk about the start of sales in Russia, it will appear on the gray market on September 17, three models that will be sold in Europe from September 16. That is, in a day we will already have it … If we talk about parallel imports, these are the first three devices will appear in two to two and a half weeks, that is, from the beginning of October,” Murtazin said. He explained that the “gray” market involves sales for cash. That is, these are individual small stores, not large retail chains.

He also specified that on the “gray” market “the price will be one and a half to two times higher. In a week the price will be from the European one, plus 10% approximately, there will be no shortage.” According to him, with parallel imports, “the prices will not be sparing, that is, the iPhone 14, which costs 1,000 euros in Europe, will cost us 95 thousand rubles, it will even reach 100 thousand, 14 Plus – about 105 thousand, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max 125 thousand and 135 thousand respectively. These are the minimum prices for parallel imports.”

Earlier Wednesday, Apple introduced the base iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus with a larger screen. Phones will be available in five colors, they are equipped with screens of 6.1 and 6.7 inches. The start of sales of standard versions in America is scheduled for September 16, Pro – from October 7. According to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, the new iPhone 14 will be delivered to Russia through parallel imports.

Apple stopped shipping its products back in March. The authorities of the Russian Federation have allowed parallel imports for the current year, that is, the import of goods into the country without the consent of the copyright holders. The list of such products was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in May, Apple products are included in it.

Inventive Retail Group, the official seller of Apple products, told the agency that there will not be one start date for sales in Russia, because Apple has officially stopped deliveries. Each seller will start selling when he can bring, the agency explained.
