The first Chinese Fenghua 1 GPU in action

The Chinese Fenghua 1 GPU, and thus the graphics card of the same name, has been no longer a secret to us for several weeks, but we still do not know what exactly it can do. The latest discovery about them does not reveal this, but at least confirms that the cards are fully functional.

We’ve got the first proof that the Chinese Fenghua 1 GPU works

As far as we know, two cards were created on the basis of Fenghua 1 produced in 12-nm technology. One (Type A) with a single core and the other (Type B) with two on one laminate. On paper, the first variant with one GPU paired with up to 16GB of GDDR6 provides 5 TFLOPS of performance in FP32 calculations and 25 TOPS in INT8, while the latter simply doubles these figures.

Above you can see material from TechNode’s Stewart Randall, who shared a video showing the GFXBench benchmark fired on the Fenghua 1 card. It lacks the FPS counter, the final results screen, and we do not even know which variant of the card was tested. However, you can see that at least the level of performance of mobile GPUs has been preserved, because the benchmark itself was created with them in mind.
