The rumor about VRAM comes from the famous kopite7kimi, who has long been revealing correct information about Nvidia. In his tweet, he confirms that the graphics will be based on the GA106-150-A1 core as previously reported by Videocardz, and that it will feature 8GB of GDDR6 memory, something that was not confirmed so far.

Regarding its release date, it was provided by hongxing2020, a newer leaker on the scene that has hit several of its leaks for now and therefore has good credibility. According to hongxing2020, it will hit stores on January 27, 2022, although its announcement date was unfortunately not reported.
Recall that previously hongxing2020 revealed that the RTX 2060 12GB would arrive on December 7, which was confirmed yesterday by Nvidia, and that the RTX 3070 Ti 16GB and RTX 3080 12GB would be announced on December 17 and hit the market on January 11, so Nvidia is preparing a lot of graphics for early 2022. There is also talk about an RTX 3090 Ti that may be announced at CES, although there is no confirmed arrival date for that model.
It will be interesting to see what other information comes to light about this RTX 3050. At the moment we know that it will have 3072 Cuda Cores, 8GB of GDDR6 memory, 128-bit bus, and a performance above the GTX 1660 Ti, and now also its date. release, though some final details are bound to come to light in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for HD Tech.
