The Ministry of Digital Development ruled out the possibility of blocking YouTube in Russia
MOSCOW, 28 Sep — PRIME. There are still no plans to ban YouTube in Russia, Maksut Shadayev, head of the Ministry of Digital Development, said.
“We still have no plans to close YouTube,” said Shadayev, quoted by the ministry’s press service.
Earlier, the minister said that video hosting, owned by the American corporation Google, is the leader in terms of mobile traffic in Russia. Then it accounted for 18 percent of the traffic of the four largest mobile operators.
