MOSCOW, Sep 23 — PRIME. The Ministry of Energy of Russia has denied the authenticity of a letter that appeared in the Telegram messenger about the alleged assistance of the department in the partial mobilization of employees, addressed to the heads of mining companies, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reported.
According to the published photo of the “letter” signed by Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin, which turned out to be fake, the Ministry of Energy “is instructed to provide assistance to military commissariats in the subjects of the federation in the implementation of the mobilization plan.”
“Friends, be smart and don’t fall for fakes. Firstly, Pavel Sorokin is the first deputy minister, the heading of letters from the first deputies is different. Secondly, in the conditions of electronic document management, “live” signatures on documents are almost a rudiment. Well and thirdly, in terms of the distribution of powers, this is not Pavel Sorokin’s area of responsibility at all, ”the ministry said in a statement.
Representatives of the ministry urged to check the information and not to be deceived.
On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On the announcement of partial mobilization in the Russian Federation.” According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, it is needed to control the line of contact of a thousand kilometers and the liberated territories in Ukraine. During the mobilization, a total of 300,000 reservists will be called up, which is just over one percent of the country’s total mobilization resource.
