Bitcoin, the most active performer of the decade
A report published by Bloomberg reveals that Bitcoin (BTC) is the most performing digital asset of the decade. Cryptocurrency has grown over 9,000,000% since July 2010 to date.
Despite the constant price fluctuations, scandals and criticism, peer-to-peer cryptocurrency has captivated the market, growing “spectacular”.
Bloomberg has also compared the prices of other assets over the last ten years:
“The S&P 500 tripled in that period. The index that follows the world markets is barely doubled. Gold increased by 25%. Some of the best performing in the Russell 3000 range – including Exact Sciences Corp. and Intelligent Systems Corp. – they increased by about 3,000%. These increases are compared to one of the most recent – and one of the most controversial – miracles in the world – Bitcoin. “
CES 2020 includes IoT hardware and a blockchain phone
Two innovative devices became the stars of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas last week. One of them is the blockchain BOB (Blok on Blok) of PundiX. The second is the Ucam camera, developed by the Internet of Things company IoTeX. This is a home security camera that stores images in the cloud.
“Our company is a blockchain platform and we work with other IoT and hardware production companies to build secure and private IoT devices,”
explained the representative of IoTeX.
IoTeX met with waves of distributors, builders, and investors on Day 2 of @CES ?

Regulators in the US and Europe have announced that the crypto industry will be one of their priorities this year. These include the SEC compliance office and the European Financial Markets Authority. In collaboration with other regulatory authorities, the two institutions have presented their plans to focus on the implementation of cryptocurrency surveillance systems.
In the US, the SEC announced that it will evaluate six key areas: investment adequacy, portfolio management and trading practices, security of funds and assets for clients, pricing and evaluation, effectiveness of compliance programs and controls, and oversight of employees outside business activities. .
In addition, China’s central bank has made national digital currency a priority.
The Lazarus hackers group is focused on cryptocurrency users
The Lazarus Group is currently one of the most active and prolific hacking groups in the world.
An analysis by Kaspersky reveals that one of their campaigns, called Operation AppleJeus, focuses on cryptocurrency users. Launched in 2018, the operation involves the development of viruses and systems that collect information from the affected computers.
Unlike ordinary viruses, Lazarus creates complex systems that affect both macOS and Windows users. Some have been camouflaged in the form of boxes or websites dedicated to cryptocurrency trading, such as UnionCryptoTrader.
These malware systems are distributed both online and through Telegram groups dedicated to cryptocurrency trading.
Kaspesky’s analysis shows that most Lazarus victims have been identified in the UK, Poland, Russia and China.
