The next increase in prices for video cards is expected after the Chinese New Year

Video card prices continue to rise. The main reasons for this are the scarcity of GPUs and the huge demand from miners. Only recently, manufacturers have officially announced another wave of price increases for their products, which this time was caused by an increase in customs duties and logistics problems, but, as it turns out, this is not the end and others will follow the first wave.

Warnings and forecasts about the growth in the cost of GDDR memory appeared at the end of last year. But, probably, this has not yet had time to affect the current cost of video cards. MyDrivers reported that the next wave of appreciation will flood the graphics card market after the Chinese New Year celebrations. At the end of February, the supply of products will resume with renewed vigor and at a new price.

Both GDDR6 and GDDR5 memory will rise in price. Of course, the increase in prices for new items – GeForce RTX 30 and Radeon RX 6000 will be more tangible. Mobile graphics solutions and, accordingly, laptops will also rise in price.
