The Venezuelan Government a announced that the active doctors in the country will receive a Petro bonus. President Nicolas Maduro said it was a gesture of gratitude for their efforts to combat Coronavirus.
The special bonus “Doctors of the Fatherland” by a Petro will be distributed to the Venezuelan doctors through the “Patria System”. This platform was created specifically to distribute bonuses and subsidies, without using the traditional banking system. Unfortunately, the use of petro is very difficult, and its value varies significantly depending on where it is spent.
In addition to this special bonus for physicians, Maduro previously approved benefits for citizens who could not work because of quarantine. The government distributed “Stay Home” and “Discipline and Solidarity” bonuses at the end of March, but they used bolivars instead of cryptocurrency based on oil.
According to Coronavirus-calculator, Venezuela has 146 cases.
