The Uniswap DeFi protocol launches the Uniswap V2 mainnet

On May 18, the DeFi Uniswap protocol a announced launch of mainnet for Uniswap V2. It introduces new features such as price oracles, flash flash swaps and liquidity pools for any pair of ERC20 tokens. The upgrade was tested for almost two months on Ethereum testnets.

In addition, Uniswap V2 also introduces the protocol transaction fee option, which can be used in the future to help finance the project.

The UnisWap DeFi protocol provides decentralized exchanges

The Uniswap protocol provides decentralized exchanges of tokens funded by liquidity providers. They receive a commission for each swap facilitated by the platform.

Uniswap V1 was launched in November 2018 and by the end of 2019 had over $ 25 million stuck in liquidity funds. The total blocked value peaked at more than $ 72 million on February 13, and currently stands at about $ 43 million.

Last month, the Coinbase platform announced the launch of an “Oracle Price DeFi” to complement the services of the decentralized finance ecosystem. For starters, the oracle will include price predictions for BTC-USD and ETH-USD.
