The US Department of Energy noted the possibilities for the release of oil from the reserve
MOSCOW, 11 Oct — PRIME. The United States has the opportunity to additionally release oil from the reserve, said Deputy Energy Minister David Turk.
US says it needs to revise relations with Saudi Arabia
Earlier, the White House reported that the United States does not plan to release new volumes of oil from the strategic reserve.
“We have additional opportunities to use the strategic reserve in the coming weeks and months, if necessary,” the Deputy Minister of Energy said at an event organized by the Axios portal.
On October 6, US President Joe Biden ordered the Energy Department to release another 10 million barrels from the reserve in November, in addition to the 180 million that the sale was authorized in March.
