The volume of transactions in decentralized applications decreased in the 3rd quarter of this year

The analytical platform DApp.com reports that in the 3rd quarter of 2019, the number of transactions and the user base of decentralized applications on various blockchains significantly decreased.

Specialists tracked transactions on the Ethereum, EOS, Steem, Tron, TomoChain, IOST and Blockstack blockchains. The transaction volume of decentralized applications in these networks amounted to $ 2.03 billion, which is 40% less than the results of the previous quarter. In addition, only 36% of users active in the 2nd quarter entered the program in the 3rd quarter.

The number of users of decentralized applications on the Ethereum blockchain has not changed much and amounts to about 80,000. However, only 5% of users active in the 2nd quarter used the program in the 3rd quarter. Applications on the EOS network are doing better – 40% of users are returning, while for the Tron blockchain this figure is 15%.

Researchers also noted that 500,000 new users of decentralized applications were registered in Q3. At the same time, 138,000 chose applications in the field of financial services, and more than 170,000 use game programs.
