These are the requirements for the Call Of Duty: Vanguard BETA

Activision has released the Official Requirements for the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta through its website.

The PC version is run by Beenox, developers of the fantastic Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, the remake of the original Crash Team Racing. It is not a bad decision for Activision to hire a studio for the PC port. More considering some disasters that the saga has had with the platform in the past.

Surprisingly, the requirements are quite accessible. We had a campaign trailer very recently and it didn’t look bad at all. They also showed good map destruction, which is something they want to put more emphasis on in this installment.

Minimum requirements

  • Operating system: Windows 10 64 bit (1909 onwards)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K o AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 960 2GB / GTX 1050 Ti 4GB o AMD Radeon R9 380
  • HDD: 45GB

Recommended Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 64 bit (Last Service Pack)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K o AMD Ryzen 7 1800X
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB / GTX 1660 6GB o AMD Radeon RX VEGA 56
  • HDD: 45GB

Just an Intel Core i5-2500K as a minimum requirement is something that catches the eye. But the recommended requirements are the biggest surprise in my opinion. The i7-4770K came out 8 years ago, and although it still struggles on some rigs, it is surprising that such an old processor is the one recommended by the developers. Either that, or they’ve made a mistake, which we’ve seen in the past with other games.

Even so, it is true that the goal of Call of Duty was always to run at 60 fps on consoles. They were never very demanding games, so it is possible that these are really the requirements.

Call of Duty: Vanguard launches on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and Xbox One on November 5. The Beta will be available to everyone from September 16. Although PlayStation users will have early access from September 10 to 13.

Are you going to test the Beta or wait for its release in November?
