Trump predicted a sharp rise in gas prices due to Biden’s actions

MOSCOW, 18 Sep — PRIME. Former US President Donald Trump said that his successor Joe Biden is emptying the strategic oil reserve in an attempt to bring down fuel prices as much as possible on the eve of the fall elections, and predicted that with the end of the electoral season, gasoline prices will rise sharply again.

Hungary decided to extend the freeze on prices for food and gasoline

The White House has resorted to record-breaking commodity interventions to push down the price of gasoline, which has fallen in price for 95 consecutive days and now averages $3.68 a gallon, down $1.33 from its June peak.

“I filled these strategic reserves … that haven’t been replenished in years. I did it at the right price when it was at an all-time low. I filled it, and he (Biden) uses it to lower prices as much as possible right before the election,” he said. Trump at a rally in Ohio.

“And immediately after the election, they will double and be higher than anyone could have imagined,” he predicted, adding that the strategic oil reserve was for war, not elections.

In the midterm elections in November, Americans will completely renew the House of Representatives and a third of the Senate. Both houses of Congress are now controlled by Democrats, political opponents of Republican Trump.
