Residents of Yakutsk remain without electricity for the third day

MOSCOW, 10 Sep — PRIME. Residents of a number of microdistricts and suburban villages of the city of Yakutsk, after a strong wind, remain without electricity for the third day, seven teams of power engineers are carrying out emergency and restoration work, the press service of the Central Electric Networks of PJSC Yakutskenergo reports.

Squally winds on Thursday caused power outages in the private sector in Yakutsk. According to the company, restoration work is ongoing around the clock. Over 200 applications have been received.

On Friday, as a result of a break in the cable line, residents of apartment buildings along Lermontov Street were also left without electricity. According to the company, specialists worked at night in 12 microdistricts and three suburban settlements of Yakutsk.

“On the night of September 10, the work was carried out by 7 teams of power engineers consisting of 31 people. The work will continue until full recovery,” the press service noted.

The Yakut Department of Hydrometeorology predicts winds of up to 14 meters per second in Yakutsk on Saturday. Squally wind is expected in seven regions of Yakutia.
