“Negotiations are underway with Russia on additional gas supplies. If prices are agreed, supplies will begin,” the statement said.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that if Turkey asks for an increase in energy supplies, Russia will provide it. The approximate volume of deliveries of Russian energy resources to the country is about 26 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

In addition, A Haber notes, Turkey has completely filled its gas storage facilities.

Earlier it was reported that the Silivri storage capacity was increased from 3.2 billion cubic meters to 4.6 billion cubic meters. A total of 5.6 billion cubic meters of “blue fuel” will be stored in two underground gas storage facilities in Turkey.
