U.S. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control to attend IAEA meeting

WASHINGTON, Sep 24 – PRIME Undersecretary of State Bonnie Jenkins, who oversees arms control issues, will travel to Vienna September 25-28 to attend the 66th IAEA General Conference, the State Department said Saturday.

“Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins will travel to Vienna September 25-28 to attend the 66th IAEA General Conference,” the statement said.

“In Vienna, she will participate in bilateral meetings, events related to the nuclear agenda, to remind of the continued support of the United States for Ukraine, to ensure continued support for the IAEA’s efforts in Ukraine,” the agency added.

It is noted that Jenkins will travel to Vienna along with the head of the American delegation, US Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, as well as Deputy Secretary of Energy for Nuclear Security Jill Hruby.
