Intel introduced its Intel Arc graphics cards on March 26 to get more publicity and interest. This all started with a video posted on Twitter containing some hidden codes pointing to an Intel website, where they could win one of the cards.
Now Rock Paper Shotgun reports that Intel sent confirmation messages to the 200 winners informing them of their prizes and the approximate value (ARV) of the bundle, which means we can roughly estimate how much Intel desktop cards will cost at launch.
Twitter user La Frite David posted a screenshot of the message, confirming that a graphics card worth $700 had arrived. The message says, Contains an Intel Ar graphics card, merchandise, and three months of Xbox Game Pass for PC. Stripping out the $45 for three months of Game Pass, that leaves $655. It’s unclear exactly how much the merch is worth, but we can expect the card’s final price to be somewhere between $600 and $640.

Another winner, @Malcore, also posted his award message. The card in this case is listed as a “Premium” Arc GPU and ships with products and six months of Game Pass. The ARV (Approximate Value) of the package is $900, which means the card will probably cost around $750 to $800.
That’s a pretty high figure for a top-of-the-line Arc card. Taking into account that it will perform like an RTX 3070 and the RTX 3080 they dropped an amount, up to 850 dollars in the USA.
There’s also the upcoming Nvidia RTX 4000-series (Lovelace) and AMD RDNA 3 cards to consider. But GPU prices are falling, so the final price of an Intel Arc might come as a surprise. Time will tell if it’s good or bad.
