Update 1.11.1 for World of Tanks added a branch of Italian heavy tanks and improvements in the interface to the game

Wargaming has released an update for World of Tanks with index 1.11.1 on the main servers. This update brings several changes of varying degrees of importance to the game. The most important addition is a new branch of high tier Italian heavy tanks. The first sign of the branch was the Bisonte C45 premium tank, which was one of the prizes hidden in the New Year’s boxes. Now it’s the turn of the pumped cars. The update also added to the game the Platoon 2.0 system and modified game interfaces, spied by the developers from popular custom modifications

The branch of Italian “heavy” vehicles is represented by four vehicles from Tier VII to X. All of them can boast of good UVN and weapons. A distinctive feature of the tanks is the so-called modified magazine reloading system, which is available from Tier VIII. This new “gadget” gives a bonus to reloading and makes Italian heavy tanks “extremely dangerous in battle”.

Also, after the release of Update 1.11.1, the player will have access to special combat missions for all new Italian vehicles. As you complete them, you will get four sets of appearance elements. Each set contains a unique emblem, inscription and decal with references to the past of the legendary Roman legions. If you complete the tasks for the top tank of the branch, Riniceronte, then the prize will be a two-dimensional style “Turtle, depicting the battle formation of the Roman infantry.

The Platoon 2.0 system simplifies the search for co-platoons according to various criteria, such as the level of technology or the availability of voice communications. A nice feature of the new system is the opportunity to see the equipment of the platoon soldiers right in the player’s hangar. According to the developers, “Platoon 2.0” greatly simplifies the process of creating a platoon, so that the “tanker” can focus on the game itself.

The interface improvements introduced in Update 1.11.1 were picked up by Wargaming from popular “modders”. Now you can turn on the display of the 50-meter detection circle (aka “X-ray”) on the minimap, within the radius of which any vehicle becomes detected. Damaged modules receive a recovery timer – now you can always find out when the automatic repair of a downed track or other breakdown is completed. Finally, when entering World of Tanks, the game client will remember the server selected by the player and will automatically select it the next time it starts.

Let us also remind that update 1.11.1 added a special event “Battle of Bloggers” to the game client, the name of which speaks for itself. Popular bloggers producing streams and videos on World of Tanks on YouTube have teamed up and are ready to join the fight for fame and prizes. The event itself starts on Friday at 9:00 Moscow time. Any player can join the team of bloggers they like and fight under their banner in a special mode in the “7 vs 7” format. Various in-game rewards are awarded for participating in the mode.

More information about the update itself and the “Battle of Bloggers” event can be found at official website World of Tanks.
