MOSCOW, 7 Sep — PRIME. The Energy Information Administration of the US Department of Energy (EIA) has lowered its forecast for the average price of North Sea Brent oil for the current year to $104.21 per barrel from the previous $104.78, follows from the EIA’s monthly short-term forecast data.

Brent crude fell below $89 a barrel for the first time since February 3

EIA at the same time raised the forecast for the average price of Brent for next year – up to 96.91 dollars per barrel from 95.13 dollars.

The forecast for the average price of WTI oil for 2022 was worsened to $98.07 per barrel from $98.71 in August, and the forecast for 2023 was raised to $90.91 from $89.13 per barrel.
