VTX3D releases Radeon HD 7870 with Tahiti LE

AMD’s partner manufacturer, led by TUL Corporation, is launching new variants of the Radeon HD 7870, but this time it’s not about the Pitcarn XT graphics processor. Instead, the Tahiti LE is used, a scaled-down variant of the same circuit that is otherwise seen in the Radeon HD 7900 series.

Now VTX3D launches the new Radeon HD 7870 Black with Tahiti LE in the center. The newcomer is virtually identical to the models from Powercolor and Club 3D, which includes 1,536 stream processors, a 256-bit memory bus and 2 GB of memory. The clock frequencies are also the same with the 925/975 MHz GPU and 6.0 GHz GDDR5.

More details are comprehensive coolers with centered fan, video connections for dual-link DVI, HDMI and two Mini Displayports as well as support for everything from DirectX 11.1 to CrossfireX and Eyefinity. Some price information is not yet known.
