Warehouse Employees Steal $ 40,000 of Video Cards: Arrested | VIDEO

Over the past two years, the video cards they deserved a record, that of far more expensive hardware component of the entire PC. Not that they weren’t already in the best of times, but due to the well-known shortage problems, cryptocurrency mining and resale by scalpers, things have gotten even harder on gamers’ pockets.

And if in the United States they even went so far as to attack a truck for rubarle (to resell them in Vietnam), in Russia they used more traditional methods, but all in favor of cameras.

Three employees of the Russian company Wildberries in the city of Podolsk have stole twenty GeForce RTX 3070 Ti from the warehouse where they worked. The “hit” hit without major problems (apart from the cameras …), in fact no one immediately noticed the robbery, but things got complicated as soon as they tried to resell them: in fact, they turned to a pawnshop whose owner, evidently annoyed by the goods and by the request to pay half their actual value, decided to contact the authorities. The three thieves were thus stopped and part of the booty was recovered.

Each video card was worth 200,000 rubles, about $ 1920, worth about $ 40,000. At the moment I do not know what sentence the three “not very awake” thieves will have to serve, both for having turned to a pawnshop and for having carried out the robbery in favor of cameras thinking they will get away with it.
