On April 3, Waves announced the charity initiative based on the COVID-19 pandemic. These are two tokens based on the evolution of the number of confirmed cases worldwide in a week.

Waves.Exchange users can purchase the “COVID-DWN” or “COVID-UP” tokens to speculate whether the number of globally confirmed coronavirus cases is increasing or decreasing over a seven-day period. Tokens can be purchased with USDN stable cryptocurrency, and funds are kept in escrow until the end of the prediction interval.

Data on the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases will be provided through oracles from the World Health Organization (WHO) in real time.
