Wildberries introduced a guarantee fee when registering sellers

MOSCOW, 19 Sep — PRIME. Wildberries introduced a guarantee fee of ten thousand rubles when registering new sellers to combat fraud, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.

So, when you try to register as a seller, an announcement appears on the site about “the need to make a cash guarantee fee” in the amount of ten thousand rubles. It is noted that in the future there will be the possibility of free identification through banks.

“An additional identification of new sellers through online banking services was introduced. But, unfortunately, it did not show its effectiveness: fraudsters continue to register and confirm their profiles using false personal data, so we were forced to disable the possibility of identification through online services. At the moment, only the option of making a guarantee payment is available, it shows high efficiency – now the number of fraudulent registrations has been reduced to zero,” the press service of the marketplace told RIA Novosti.

They emphasized that Wildberries is working on new solutions for identifying legal entities and preventing fraudsters from entering the online platform.
