Wilsons Auctions auction house to sell confiscated cryptocurrencies for $ 600,000

UK police will auction confiscated cryptocurrencies. Buyers will be able to purchase BTC, ETH, XRP and other coins totaling about $ 600,000.

The East Region Special Operations Team contacted Wilsons Auctions auction house to request forfeited cryptocurrencies for sale. The auction is scheduled for September 25th.

“Cryptocurrencies were confiscated from a criminal who sold personal data and offered hacking services, for which he received tens of thousands of pounds in cryptocurrencies,” the message says.

Confiscated bitcoins will be divided into lots from 0.25 to 2 BTC, and lots of other cryptocurrencies will be larger. In this case, the price of coins will not be reserve, that is, there will be no minimum bar set.

“Also 15 lots of bitcoin will be put up for auction on September 26th. Bidding will be available to customers both online and in physical presence, ”said the representatives of the auction house.

Recall that in February Wilsons Auctions put up for sale cryptocurrencies for £ 300,000 seized by the Belgian government in the case of drug trafficking through darknet.
