JetPack Aviation wants to turn the world championship with jetpacks into reality
Currently, JetPack Aviation is mainly developing its Speeder (AUV – Air Utility Vehicle), but still cares about its jetpacks, which have ensured its worldwide success. In fact, the JB series turbine powered jetpacks are now commercially available and the company is close to delivering to its first customers. Two JB12s are intended for military use in Southeast Asia and one JB10 for a private customer in the United States.

However, the company wants to go a step further with its jetpacks. JetPack Aviation CEO David Mayman said he is in talks with the Air Race World Championship team to turn jetpack world championship plans into reality in September. This would be the world’s first initiative where pilots with jetpacks compete on parallel aerial obstacle courses.
We spoke to the competitors of the Air Race World Championship who took over the assets of the Red Bull Air Race. We are working with them to create a parallel series of jetpack races. Initially, we will start with JB-10, and then with JB-14. We can even field the Speeder when it’s ready!
