XRP is up in early 2020, Ripple CEO speaks out

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has focused on increasing the XRP value. His post appeared on Twitter in response to the opinion of Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz, published on Coindesk, where Mike suggested another frustrating year for XRP investors.

Mike Novogratz provokes Ripple

In a statement made by Mike Novogratz at a financial conference in Florida last week, he also hinted that Ripple's monthly payments on the blocked account are not happy with investors.

To which the CEO of Ripple replied that he had doubts about Novogratz's ability to predict cryptocurrency prices, pointing out that he had wrongly predicted that Bitcoin would reach $ 20,000 by the end of the year 2019, and that theincreased value of XRP is more than satisfactory.

However, it's worth noting that while the recovery from XRP has been impressive so far, most altcoins adults have been on the rise since the start of the year and many, including Dash, Bitcoin Gold, Ethereum Classic, Zcash and Tezos, surpass Bitcoin just like XRP.

Bitso entrusts Ripple with 20% of its transfers to Mexico

Daniel Vogel, CEO of Bitso, announced in a podcast that his company plans to process 20% of all remittances to Mexico using Ripple's demand liquidity. Payment giant MoneyGram, which Ripple partnered with last year, operates five payment lanes, including to Mexico. Also, Mexicans must be supported effectively through fast and inexpensive cross-border transactions. Last year, Ripple has already enabled more than 750,000 customers to make low cost exchanges and money transfers to their country of origin.

To date, 10% of all MoneyGram transfers are processed by XRP and ODL. The volume of the last week of December has increased significantly, so much so that Bitso CEO Daniel Vogel now plans to process 20% of weekly transfers between the United States and Mexico by the end of 2020. In a new podcast, Vogel explains that his business was initially only a transmission gateway, but that the ODL payment solution has enabled the business to experience strong growth.

Vogel also points out that his scholarship was looking for a cryptocurrency based money transfer that would work even when prices fluctuate widely. With ODL, Bitso found the perfect payment solution:

We actually increased our volume, and that’s because we’ve spent a lot of time creating a wire transfer solution […]. This is very important to us because it is based on the use of krypton, a business model that does not necessarily rely on rising prices of cryptocurrency to make your business run very well.

Worldwide adoption of ODL and XRP continues to grow, as shown in Ripple's latest quarterly report. In the fourth quarter, ODL transaction volumes increased by more than 390% compared to the previous quarter. Ripple plans to continue growing its customer base by more than 40% and its transaction volume by more than 600% in 2020.

2020, the year of Ripple and XRP?

It is clear that the iXRP investors are still very happy to see their stock prices rise after several months of stagnation and decline. Ripple continues to work hard to build a ecosystem who will use XRP. Company executives are constantly looking for new partnerships with more than 200 banks and financial institutions already present on the Ripple network. Perhaps 2020 will be the year that all XRP supporters have been waiting for.
