YouTube Music improves the playback interface

YouTube Music, available to YouTube Premium owners, has recently gained new features and improvements. This month is no different, as the improved playback interface has already started, although only a few will benefit from it for now.

Integration with Snapchat, an improved radio algorithm, a family “shelf” or support for random playback for WearOS are just some of the novelties that have recently hit YouTube Music. Now, in turn, the new playback interface in the mobile app is being tested, for the first time noticed by one of the Reddit users.

The album cover has been moved to the center of the screen, with the name of the playlist and the row of buttons (play, share, download and library) below it. A blurred background has also been added behind the cover, which gives the whole a coherent, pleasant character. In the screenshot above, you can see that the shuffle button has been removed, which you will probably only see after starting the song. The new interface, compared to the old one, looks very neat and more coherent.

So far, the novelty has appeared only in a small group of users, so it is difficult to say when it will be released more widely.
