In August, another graphics card arrives in the Maxwell family. This time, however, it is not about a lavish performance model but about an alternative for gamers with thin wallets. The upcoming Geforce GTX 950 will take over after the first generation Maxwell in the price range around SEK 1,500. The competitor AMD does not go unnoticed.
According to Chinese Expreview, the counter is called Radeon R7 370X and like other members of the 300 series, it is not about a new acquaintance. Instead, AMD chooses to reuse the Pitcairn graphics processor, which is recognizable from the more than three-year-old Radeon HD 7870 and also the subsequent Radeon R7 270X.
On the wallpaper is “Trinidad XT” with 1,280 computing units in 1,180 MHz and 2 or 4 GB GDDR5 memory on a 256-bit memory bus with the effective clock frequency of 5.8 GHz. This results in a memory bandwidth of 172.9 GB / s.
Like the Geforce GTX 950, the launch is expected to take place in mid-August.
