AMD Radeon 300 and Fury no success at Swedish retailers

At the E3 gaming show in early June, AMD introduced a new generation of graphics cards. The wide Radeon 300 series consists of older graphics processors in a new form, while the flagship Fury are new acquaintances and first out with the high-performance memory type High Bandwith Memory. However, the new products do not seem to give AMD any wind in its sails.

When SweClockers calls around to retailers, it appears that Swedish gamers and enthusiasts rate AMD’s latest graphics card. One of the largest chains states that as many as nine out of ten graphics cards sold are now a Geforce GTX. That relationship is not said to be due to any seasonal coincidence but follows a larger trend.

The cool interest in AMD’s graphics cards applies to both members of the Radeon 300 series and the flagship Fury. In the latter case, there is still a significant shortage of graphics cards, but on the other hand, none of the dealers in the tour notice any major demand.

The best-selling graphics card is Nvidia’s controversial Geforce GTX 970. Other popular models from the green team are the Geforce GTX 980/980 Ti, GTX 960 and GTX 750 Ti. When it comes to AMD, it is primarily the Radeon R9 390, R9 390X and R9 380 that go home with Swedish consumers.
