AMD Radeon PRO V620: Navi 21 and 32 GB of memory for cloud gaming

Is called Radeon PRO V620, the new board of AMD dedicated to the world of cloud. It is not a product that is therefore aimed at the final consumer, but to all those companies that have services of cloud gaming (like Google Stadia) or that they want to offer productivity solutions remotely capable of managing complex 3D loads.

The new solution is based on architecture RDNA 2, has a GPU with 72 active Compute Units for a total of 4608 stream processor operating at 2200 MHz peak, 128 MB of Infinity Cache and 32 GB di VRAM GDDR6 a 16 Gbps on a 256-bit bus for a bandwidth of 512 GB / s.

The V620 has a peak power of 20.28 TFLOPs, a PCI Express 4.0 x16 interface and is passively cooled (the server cooling system takes care of this). The TBP is 300W. If these specifications are not new to you, know that they are basically those of the Radeon RX 6800 XT, so the GPU is Navi 21.

Technical specifications aside, the Radeon PRO V620 provides features such as GPU partitioning and multi-stream hardware-accelerated encoders for managing multiple users and a wide range of workloads.

The common architecture of the Microsoft and Sony consoles, as well as support for the Vulkan API, DirectX 12 Ultimate, OpenCL, WebGL and OpenCL and the features of the AMD FidelityFX suite should allow companies to offer quality services, accelerating both complex games and productivity services.
