APK Track y APK Updater: Actualizar apps SIN Play Store
– Take a look at these tips, tricks, and solution you can use to make your life much easier with your devices whenever problems arrive and complications which you may find difficult to deal with.

Generally it is good to update the applications because only in this way do you get new functions that the creator adds. In addition, this corrects possible errors, failures, malfunctions or compatibility problems.

When the Android cell phone or tablet has stores such as the Google Play Store installed, Galaxy Store (Samsung) or APPGallery (Huawei), these stores are responsible for updating the installed apps automatically. Some apps have their own updater, like Facebook, so even if you don’t have these stores, they will continue to update.

If your cell phone does not have these stores, or you downloaded APKs that do not exist in them (and consequently they are not updated), the manual way to update an app is to find the APK of its new version and install it. This process can be made much easier with third-party “updaters”, who look for those APKs for you from secure sources and install them automatically. So you don’t have to do this work manually for each of your apps.

APKTrack can detect if there are updates for any of the applications installed on the phone, and allows search or download the APK directly of those updates.

To find out if there are updates, check websites and Android application stores such as F-Droid, AppBrain or the same Play Store. Also check the websites of the developers themselves. In the case of WhatsApp, for example, check the official site whatsapp.com and directly offers a button to download the latest version APK.

Once it scans all the applications installed on the phone, you have to tap on any of them to check if there is an update available: If the number (version) of the application is highlighted in green, it means that there are no updates. If it is marked in red, there is an update. In this case, a magnifying glass or a down arrow will appear at the far right that will allow you to search or download that update, respectively.

When the magnifying glass appears, tapping on it will search for the update in Google. In the settings you can change this and configure it to do a search on other application sites such as APKmirror, APK Downloader (Evozi), DuckDuckGo or even on Google Play itself.

By default, the user must manually check if there is a new version or update of an application, but in the APKTrack settings you can activate the automatic search for updates (Enable Background Checks).

Once the APK of an update is downloaded, you must activate the installation of unknown sources in the Android settings in order to install them.

Another open source application to replace the Play Store and be able to update your apps without it. This utility checks repositories for updates APKMirror, Aptoide, F-Droid Y Google Play. All these sources are activated by default, however, it is advisable to deactivate Aptoide, due to its security problems.

By default APKUpdater should automatically update your apps once installed. If you want to block the automatic update of certain apps, go to the “Applications” tab and tap on “Ignore”.

In its configuration you have the time that APK Updater executes the updates and how often it looks for them, things that you can change. For example, you can have it only update weekly. You can also update manually and at any time from the updates tab.
