Asus Demonstrates Laptop Graphics Cards Faster Than Geforce GTX Titan X

The graphics giant Nvidia has recently lifted the veil for the Geforce GTX 1080 and later in May it’s time for the start of sales. This is only the first of what is expected to be a long line of graphics cards for desktops, but the improvements in energy efficiency also guarantee a significantly increased performance for laptops.

In a now deleted Facebook post, Asus gives a taste of an as yet uncovered Geforce graphics card for laptops. The final score in 3DMark 11 lands at 20,811 – just above what the now former flagship Geforce GTX Titan X gets in the same test. No details about the graphics card are revealed, but it is probably about the GP104 circuit with lower clock frequencies and fewer CUDA cores than GTX 1080.

In the same breath, Asus says that there are some ROG fans “do not want to miss” at the component fair Computex 2016, which suggests that there will be a launch of Nvidia Pascal for laptops.
