Asus releases ROG Strix RX Vega 64 and RX Vega 56

Shortly after the launch of AMD’s graphics cards Radeon RX Vega 64 and RX Vega 56, electronics manufacturer Asus showed pictures of its customized variant of the same, but no launch date was announced. Recently, several other manufacturers have rolled out their models on the market, where XFX and Gigabyte are two examples.

Asus’ version of the two graphics cards listed on the company’s website, where they go by the names ROG Strix RX Vega, followed by 64 or 56, is now available. the cards occupy 2.5 card slots.

The large heat sink is accompanied by three fans and the circuit board also has connections for connecting two chassis fans. The graphics cards come with a pre-assembled cover plate in the same dark gray color as other visible details. Both the cover plate and the cover that encloses the fans have built-in RGB lighting, which can be controlled by software.

Previously, information about the graphics card’s clock frequencies has emerged and can be partially confirmed through the product pages. For the RX Vega 64, this is a maximum clock frequency of 1,590 MHz, where the reference version is 1,546 MHz. The details of the scaled-down RX Vega 56 are fewer and clock frequencies are not mentioned at all. Based on pictures on the packaging, however, this will also be an overclocked variant.

The two cards are powered by two 8-pin PCI Express connectors and are also supplied with five picture outputs, where the list consists of a DVI-D, two HDMI 2.0 and two Displayports. Details regarding price and date of availability are not mentioned.
