B660 and H610 motherboards begin to appear for sale in China, with prices starting at US $ 85

The first B660 and H610 motherboards will hit the market next week, and as always, the first publications have already started to appear in stores. In this case, a Chinese store revealed the prices and the first photographs of various Asrock and Gigabyte boards based on these chipsets, revealing what to expect on some models.

The most economical motherboard among those published before launch is the Asrock H610M-HDV / M.2 which includes a single PCI-E 4.0 x16 port, a single M.2 PCI-E 3.0 port, only two DDR4 ram slots , and a totally basic 7-phase-only VRM, plus a rear panel with very few ports, being as basic as possible to lower your cost for office PCs or the like. This model is listed for the equivalent of about US $ 86, being oriented to combos with an i3-12100 or even lower for a really cheap price.

Then the B660M-HDV was leaked, listed for the equivalent of US $ 100. This model is also extremely basic, and actually uses the same PCB as the H610M-HDV / M.2, although it has several components soldered in places that they were previously empty, such as an additional M.2 port and some extra USB taking advantage of the additional I / O provided by the B660 chipset. Even so, you still have a totally basic VRM and only two RAM slots, although it is not bad to accompany a low-mid-range PC without spending too much.

On the Gigabyte side, the B660M DS3H DDR4 was leaked, also with very low specifications, including only 1 PCI-E x16 4.0 port, 2 M.2 ports (It is not clear which version of PCI-E), 4 DDR4 slots , and a little more. This motherboard costs US $ 118, being also an entry-level model, the opposite of other leaked models such as the B660 AORUS MASTER.

The B660 motherboards will be announced on January 4 and hit the market the next day, January 5, so it won’t be too long to see them on the market. That day we will know all the models and their prices, and we will be able to evaluate how economical it is to upgrade to the new generation of Intel.
