Backup error code 0x80070032 in Windows 11/10

Windows operating system occasionally displays error code 0x80070032 when trying to automatically back up system files and folders, or when trying to move your hard drive for backup. The error message says the following:

Sorry, but it didn’t work. For more information, search for error code 0x80070032

There are numerous reasons that can contribute to such errors arising in the system. This includes situations where there is not enough space on your drive or system, sometimes this can occur as a result of hardware problems. If you are also facing this problem, this article will help you to resolve the error in which we noted some fixes.

Solution 1: delete old backups

Step 1: Press Win + me keys to open the Settings Page.

Step 2: click System.

Step 3: Scroll down to click About.

Step 4: Now, click System properties.

Step 5: in the window that appears, below the System protection tab, click Configure.

Step 6: just click Delete button. Make sure to check the radio button along with Turn on system protection.

Step 7: Finally, after the process is completed and click Request.

Step 8: reboot your system.

Solution 2: perform a system restore

Step 1: in the taskbar search eyelash type Create a system restore point and hit Get into.

Step 2: In the window that appears, click System restore.

Step 3: The System restore window opens, click Next.

Step 4: select the desired restore point and click Next.

Step 5: Finally, click on End up.

Step 6: A window will appear requesting permission, click And.

Step 7: reboot your system.

Solution 3: restart the PC and make a backup

Step 1: in the taskbar search eyelash type Reset this PC and hit Get into.

Step 2: Now, click Restart PC.

Step 3: select Remove all The Keep all my files to start the reboot process.

Step 4: Now, select cloud reboot The Local reboot.

Step 5: Next, follow the instructions on the screen to finally click on Restart option.

After trying the above solution, make sure to create the backup using the Robust backup and restore tool. To do this, follow the steps below,

Step 1: in the taskbar search eyelash type Control Panel and hit Get into.

Step 2: click Backup and Restore (Windows 7) under Security system.

Step 3: Now, click Create a backup.

Step 4: In the window that appears, select the drive to which you want to back up. (Here, I have selected D Drive)

Step 5: Now, select Let Windows decide The Let me choose in the window that appears and click next.

Step 6: Select the items you want to back up and click Next.

Step 7: Follow the onscreen instructions and click Save the configuration and backup.

Step 8: The backup will start. It may take some time to complete the process.
